Change Before You have to....

John Francis Welch Jr. was an American business executive, chemical engineer, and writer. He was Chairman and CEO of General Electric (GE) between 1981 and 2001.

Because when we are forced to make a change , we will do it in a hurry, under pressure, and usually with few options. Change that is imposed is usually not in our favor and not in our control.

Change comes in all forms : professional, personal, or general. It can be a divorce , a promotion or a General recession. Whether good or bad, change is complicated and difficult because it affects us in a physical and psychological way.

Having studied change and worked as a specialist in this field I have one advice.

Stay current - try and read articles related to your business. Whether you have a restaurant, a small store, a hotel or a larger business. Keep reading… see what is happening currently in other cities and even in other countries. Understand and embrace change. See what your future customers will ask of you and try an make sure you can provide it.

Don’t be afraid of being the first to change. Don’t be the first to offer a service others don’t offer and don’t be disappointed if at first, your customers don’t use it. When the demand will exist, you will be the first to offer it.
